Thermal Waters of The Florentine Mountain

From a depth of 2000 meters, spring forth the bubbling healing waters in the hot springs in many locations around the world. By dipping into the thermal waters from the depths of the earth, one can escape the stress of everyday life and bring the body, spirit and soul back into balance and harmony.

The ancient Romans knew of the health benefits of thermal waters at the foot of the Florentine mountain in Baden-Baden, where the Roman bath ruins are reminiscent of the old Roman soldier baths. As with many of the areas around thermal springs, each have their unique aromatic and energetic atmosphere. The Florentine mountain will charm with you with its Italian flair and the smell of lemon and oranges which permeate the air of the fantastic parks.

The thermal waters rise from very deep sources in the area of the Florentinerberges Baden-Baden. Altogether are there twelve different salt springs, with a temperature of around 70°C from the depths of 1200 to 1800 meters and arriving with a temperature between 50 – 60°C at the surface. Thus it is the hottest and most mineral-rich source in Baden-Wuerttemberg. The sources are about 12,000 – 17,000 years old and supply approximately 800,000 liters of thermal waters daily. On his long journey from the depths of the earth, the water dissolves many minerals from the earth, especially sodium chloride, and other minerals such as lithium, cesium, silicic acid, boric acid, manganese, magnesium, plus trace amounts of cobalt, zinc and copper. It is precisely these substances to which we owe curative effect.

The famous and healthy thermal waters deliver balsam for body and soul. Have you ever experienced the feeling of a soaping brush massage? Well, then it’s time to visit the spas of Friedrichsbad or Caracalla Therme at the base of the Florentine mountain. Experience the pure relaxation in one of the many thermal baths of Baden-Baden and enjoy the hot-cold treatments in the saunas and hot springs.
