BTA is an examination of a person’s internal biochemical environment. It shows how well a person’s different regulatory systems are working and communicating with each other by analyzing the pH (acidity and alkalinity of your body), intracellular reactivity (energy and metabolism), and mineralization of the saliva, urine, lymph, and blood.
BTA analysis measures values called pH, redox and resistivity. They can also alert you if certain chemical or biological stresses are making your body more susceptible to illness. A BTA can help detect the presence of these influences which can include but are not limited to fungi, pollutants, viruses, zenobiotics (environmental poisons), a lack of adequate vitamins and minerals, lack of oxygen and excessive carbon dioxide. As such, it is extremely useful for determining an individualized treatment regimen.
Although the Biological Terrain Assessment does not diagnose a specific condition or disease process, it does provide extremely valuable information about the underlying biochemistry or Biological Terrain of your body.
The measured and calculated factors from BTA testing indicate the nature and the processes of the individual’s unique biochemistry including:
- The current status and activities of the body’s enzymes, amino acids and other building blocks of life
- How enzymatic activity in the body is occurring properly and whether vitamins, minerals, and nutrients are being absorbed or whether they are lacking in the body
- How acidic the system may be
- Demineralization and the process of osteoporosis
- The presence of damaging environmental or industrial contaminants; free radical damage
- Heavy metal toxicity
- The state of oxygen in the system, and the state of damage, degeneration, and aging of the body
- Lack of vitamins and minerals
- Fungal patterns including as of fungal poison
- Bacterial patterns
- Viral patterns
- Intestinal imbalance
- Lymphatic congestion
- Liver function, toxicity and congestion
- Kidney function, toxicity and congestion and ability to concentrate urine
BTA allows your health care provider to:
- Set up effective treatment programs
- Objectively track and monitor progress
- Objectively identify specific biochemical dysfunction’s occurring within the body
- Identify the source of oxidative stress
- Identify the need for further tests
