Homotoxicology is a modern advancement of homeopathy providing a more objective perspective of the disease and the healing patterns. When a homo-toxin (toxin in our body) is encountered, the body attempts to eliminate it, or adapt to the noxious influence if elimination cannot be effectively accomplished. In the case of disease, these homo-toxins have become pathogenic. Homotoxins may originate: internally (metabolic products not broken down or eliminated efficiently) or; externally (environmental contaminants, infectious agents, excesses of diet, etc.) Equally important, the body’s vitality depends on the digestion and assimilation of healthy food into energy to drive metabolism. Disturbances of metabolism will affect all apsects of our defensive capacities.
The Three Phases of Healing and Disease
Humoral Phase represents the body’s appropriate reaction to excrete the homo-toxin through excretion and, if necessary, inflammation. No permanent cellular damage has yet taken place. This phase is completely reversible and prognosis is excellent. Acute inflammation, seen in this phase, is beneficial, whereas chronic inflammation, on the other hand, is not normal or beneficial and can be the result of recurrent intoxication pushing the tissue or body into the next phase.
Excretion<——>Inflammation
Matrix Phase is the beginning of chronic inflammation in which there is a breakdown of defenses and an attempt to compensate by depositing homo-toxins for excretion later, or in worse cases, crossing the Biological Divide and impregnating homo-toxins into tissues. In the Deposition phase, the homo-toxins have not necessarily damaged the cells DNA, as opposed to the Impregnation phase where damage is beginning to affect tissue and cell structures. The Biological Divide lies between these two sub-phases, through which the Bio-System crosses into a more pathological and degenerative phase.
Deposition<——>Impregnation
Cellular Phase is the body’s further and deeper attempt to adapt to the increasing chronic homo-toxicosis. The cell and possibly its DNA has been damaged, which may lead to cancers. This phase is less reversible from a prognostic perspective. The goal is to reactivate matrix excretion and to repair the cellular damage.
Degeneration<——>Dedifferentiation
All illnesses are an expression of the biological purposeful defensive measures taken by the body to eliminate homo-toxins – Excretion, Inflammation, and Deposition, or else they represent the body’s biologically purposeful attempt to compensate for damage by homo-toxins – Impregnation, Degeneration, and Dedifferentiation.
Our Defense System is the framework within which our body heals, and becomes ill. It includes:
